Woman in critical condition after Gold Coast hit-and-run
A woman in her 60s is in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run on the northern Gold Coast.
Police are seeking the driver of a white Audi involved in a hit-and-run incident on the Gold Coast's Marine Parade overnight.
She was found with critical injuries on Marine Parade at Southport about 10.45pm on Wednesday and rushed to hospital by ambulance.
Police are hunting the driver of a white Audi sedan with a black roof seen leaving the accident scene.
Witnesses saw the car being driven north on Marine Pde after the woman was struck.
Police are expected to appeal for the driver or anyone who knows them, or is familiar with the vehicle, to come forward on Thursday morning.
They have also asked for anyone who was recording CCTV or dashcam footage in the area at the time of the crash to contact them.
