Man rescued after falling down 6m hole at Brisbane worksite

A man was winched to safety by paramedics and fire crews after falling 6 metres down a hole at a construction site in the Brisbane suburb of Woolloongabba.

Paramedics and the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crews attended the site on the corner of Deshon and Railway street.

They lifted the man out of the hole on a stretcher at 10:30am.

The Queensland Ambulance Service said the man was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital.

He is in a stable condition and is conscious and talking.
